David has extensive experience in the City has spent the last 20 years in Atlanta. Attending Georgia State University to attain a degree in Business Management put him at the center of the hub of an ever-expanding city and his experience has developed with Atlanta’s rapid growth.

In 2007, David, with Scott Strumlauf and Michael Krohngold, succeeded in accomplishing the task of closing Tongue & Groove in its Buckhead location and securing a new site at Lindbergh City Center. David was an active player in the design of an establishment of The Joint, another concept that grew out of Tongue & Groove in 2012. David uses his business savvy to help direct his philanthropic endeavors in many Atlanta organizations.


Anthony B. Magee Jr. is an experienced Senior SharePoint Consultant who specializes in collaborative Cloud technologies. He is responsible for managing two core products focusing on the Professional Services and Real Estate Industries. He provides product vision and strategy to ensure company executives understand the value and importance of business process and automation within the corporate setting.

Before joining one of the local prestigious consulting firms, Abel Solutions LLC, he was commissioned in the United States Army as a Signal Corp Officer. He is a graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and is now pursuing his master’s in business administration at the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business.


Jason is an experienced Digital Marketing Director with a demonstrated history of working in the marketing and advertising industry. After finishing undergrad at Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s in computer engineering, Jason worked in the software industry for 10 years as a software developer. During that time, he and two friends, created The Pay it Forward app, Nobly. Nobly is a platform that promotes and encourages people to do random acts of kindness. Jason is looking forward to working with HOPE to get more young people involved with battling the homelessness issues in his community.


Meagan Bens is a Shift Lead for Instacart, a leader in online groceries and one of the fastest growing e-commerce companies that provides everyday essentials and fresh groceries to consumers through same-day delivery and pickup services. Founded in 2012, Instacart believes that great people are the recipe to success and strives to bring together a mix of thoughtful and inventive employees to deliver the goal of creating a flavorful shopping experience while placing valuable time back into the hands of the customers. In this role, Meagan is focused wholly on promoting company values, facilitating shopper trainings and coachings, brainstorming new processes to improve the customer experience, and contributing to a positive work environment.

When she’s not working, Meagan dedicates herself to community service. She currently serves as the Affiliate Services Liaison for the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals (ULGA-YP) and as Secretary of the Project Ready Atlanta Advisory Board and will be in this role until 2020. She also serves as a Small Group Leader at Decatur City Church.


Tiffany is a project coordinator at Life University. In her current role she works in the Dean’s office assisting with streamlining processes for curricula. Tiffany has years of experience working in non-profit and government agencies. Prior to her working at Life University, Tiffany worked at Emory University in development assisting with cultivation and stewardship of donors. Tiffany graduated from Georgia State University with a B.A. in Psychology and is currently attending the University of Georgia for her master’s in business administration.

Tiffany is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 8 nieces and nephews, going to the movies and exploring new restaurants. Tiffany also enjoys a good riddle. One of her favorite riddles being; The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I? Footsteps. It is a simple riddle that reminds her that every decision that she makes can have a lasting impression.


Tom grew up in Cobb County and has lived in Atlanta for the past eight years. After graduating from Auburn University with a Business Management degree in 2011, Tom has focused on underwriting insurance specializing in entertainment and Inland Marine. In 2015, Tom was part of a team to start up Specialty Program Solutions a Program Administrator with an Inland Marine focus.

Tom is currently a Vice President at Entertainment Risk, a Program Administrator for the hospitality industry.


Melissa has a Master of Science in Marketing with strengths in content development, social media, brand management, and B2B experience. She is adept with working with InDesign and Photoshop to design attractive marketing collateral and hopes these abilities can contribute to the effort of raising awareness for HOPE Atlanta.

Melissa possesses an energetic approach to supporting opportunities within a creative services role and has a passion for giving back to her community — instilled in her from a young age. She is excited to join a wonderful cohort of team members with similar passions and hopes to make a long-lasting difference.


Edwin Coffie is a Principal Domestic Finance Auditor with the Coca-Cola Company.  His primary responsibilities include the risk-based assessment and analysis of audit projects across multiple functional areas including Supply Chain Operations, Procure To Pay, Revenue Shared Services and Marketing Agency Operations.

Prior to his employment with Coca-Cola, he worked at Verizon Inc. and Ernst & Young, LLP. In addition to his corporate experience, Edwin has also worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Accounting at Morehouse College teaching coursework in both Financial and Cost Accounting.

His educational background includes a B.A. in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics from Morehouse College and an M.S. in Accountancy from The University of Notre Dame.


After Attending the College of Charleston, Alex began his entertainment career. From 2012-2016 Alex managed hip hop act Waka Flocka Flame. During that time he also brokered several sponsorships and endorsements for numerous international musicians. In 2015, he co-founded a location based task management platform called Curo Software. He went on to partner with Amazon in 2017. After this merger, he took a board position at Curo & partnered with long-time friends Ben Hiott and Cam Fordham at Get Engaged Media, a leading influencer marketing agency in Atlanta Georgia. Today, Get Engaged works with companies like Major League Soccer, Facebook, Kendra Scott, and other leading brands (@getengaged). They also have a strong passion for improving communities through charitable initiatives and couldn’t be more excited to be a part of HOPE.


With less than a year out of college, Nadia has hit the ground running as a fresh-faced Millennial in the workforce. She currently works at PRecise Communications, a public relations firm known for being one of the top multicultural marketing agencies in Atlanta, Ga.

There she serves as an Assistant Account Executive – a position she was offered before even graduating college. In the office, Nadia is known for being the “performer”- because she’s just that. In her position, she brings a contagious high-energy and passion for her work. Some of her roles include: supervising all agency marketing, including producing the firm’s first-ever podcast; contributing to client communication plans, writing campaign and media materials; and maintaining client relationships.

Before PRecise, Nadia graduated college with over 300 hours of community service. Most of these hours were gained from a Tallahassee community shelter very similar to HOPE called The Kearney Center. There she served breakfast once a month over two years. She also volunteered to serve on a variety of boards like the Caribbean Student Association (CSA), The FAMUAN (campus newspaper), and TRIO Student Success Service mentorship program.

Nadia is a proud native of Philadelphia, Pa. and die-hard alumna of FAMU. She loves karaoke with friends, all things pop cultural and books about self-growth.


Jerry H. Getant, loan officer, is responsible for multifamily originations nationwide and is based out of Walker & Dunlop’s office in Atlanta, GA. Since 2015, Jerry has assisted with the origination, underwriting and funding of over $400 million of HUD, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac debt finance transactions.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Jerry served as an assistant vice president with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital in their Asset Management department where he managed the operations of a commercial real estate portfolio of approximately $4 billion and processed nearly $400 million in assumptions for various lenders.  Before Grandbridge, Jerry served as a financial analyst/special asset manager with TriMont Real Estate Advisors, Inc., where he managed a portfolio of distressed assets and real estate owned (REO) properties for domestic and international clients and as a junior FHA underwriter for Arbor Commercial Mortgage. Jerry began his career with State Street Corporation as a portfolio accountant.

Jerry earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and MBA from the Kennesaw State University’s Coles College of Business.


Cameron Greene is an Atlanta native with over 7 years of experience in social media and marketing with a strong background in photography, PR, and copywriting. Cameron graduated Cum Laude with additional honors from the Honor’s Program with a degree in Marketing and a certificate in Professional Selling from the University of Georgia.

She is the owner of the Atlanta based social media firm, Social Media Solutions, LLC, which specializes in account management, influencer marketing, consulting, content creation, photography, and engagement for companies across all industries nationwide. Cameron has served as a social media expert witness in a criminal court hearing for the Fulton County Superior Court and was interviewed by CBS46 Atlanta for her knowledge about social media bots and how they played a role in the 2016 Presidential Election.


Taylor Lanier is a real estate development Associate at Newport US RE. He is a graduate from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with concentrations in real estate, finance, and entrepreneurship. Prior to his career in real estate, he spent four years working for Atlanta-based marketing and communications agency, Jackson Spalding.

He currently sits on the board of directors for A+ Squash, a nonprofit using the sport of squash as a medium to advance the lives of Centennial Academy students. Taylor is passionate about helping to solve issues around homelessness and affordable housing, stemming from his annual trips building Habitat for Humanity houses over the last ten years.

In his free time, Taylor enjoys playing competitive squash with a Squash Doubles Association World Ranking of 53 in 2018. He is also a member of Buckhead Church.


Hailing from Detroit, MI, Chanden obtained his Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Florida A&M University in 2008. Chanden Marzette has always been considered; ‘A People Person” and consistently shows a kind heart and passion for helping others.

After completing his college tenure and entering the job market upon the 2008 market Crash, Chanden moved to Atlanta and began to find himself as a professional videographer/photographer. Working with many industry professionals and celebrities, Chanden’s work has been published in several local publications and was also published on for Melanie Fiona’s Alter Ego Photoshoot Coverage with celebrity photography Derek Blanks.

Chanden later went on to enter the corporate world with Siemens Industry and has been a model employee for 9years to date and currently residing as a Regional Retail Sales Specialist for the Home Depot Account. I manage 247 stores in 8 markets in 7 different major cities across the central region.

Chanden is an outgoing, organized professional with impeccable attention to detail and an uncanny ability to build rapport with people. As a natural relationship builder, I embody the core values of the HOPE Atlanta Young Professionals Board. His strong work ethic, punctuality and stellar productivity will help him prove to be a major asset to the team.


Stephen Phillips, a Community Supervision Officer with the Georgia Department of Community Supervision specializes in Court and Legal services with class A and B felony offenders within the state of Georgia.

Mr. Stephen Phillips brings to the YPB of Hope Atlanta forward thinking initiatives with a vast amount of that experience in strategic community planning. He obtained his undergraduate degree of Criminal Justice from Clark Atlanta University. There at Clark Atlanta, Stephen was a part of the Isabella T. Jenkins Honors College as well as various organizations focused on fostering professional growth. Currently, he is in pursuit of his MBA at the University of Miami where he is a first-year member of their Global MBA program. Prior to his title with the State of Georgia—he worked with The United States Secret Service as well as various financial institutions, where he focused on counterfeit and fraud investigations.


Dushyant Raichur is an Associate Consultant delivering cloud collaboration business solutions by leveraging the Microsoft solution stack. He focuses on developing and implementing collaboration solutions to help companies bring order and efficiency to their business processes. Prior to joining local consulting firm Abel Solutions, he was a Business Consultant Intern at Kaiser Permanente based in the California bay area.

A Chicago native now in Atlanta, Dushyant graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with degrees in both Public Health and Liberal Arts & Sciences.


Antonio Rainey is the Client Benefits Manager at GreenSlate LLC, an entertainment payroll and business services company. Antonio manages the group health insurance program for the non-union employees for several television production companies. Antonio’s career started in benefits administration over 13 years ago at Fringe Benefits Management Company. He also has experience as an Account Manager at Willis North America and WageWorks, LLC.

Antonio is a graduate of Florida A&M University where he studied health care management. Antonio is an active member of Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals and previously served as a Board of Director for the Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals and Progressive Black Men, Inc where he served as National President.


Carlton Reed, a financial analyst at Walker & Dunlop, is responsible for ensuring the quarterly and annual performance of multifamily properties. Within the multi-tier commercial real estate firm— Carlton is a member of the Atlanta Asset Management team, where they enhance the customization of financial real estate’s practices for their clients.

A graduate of Barry University Andreas School of Business he amplified his ability to provide analytics, strategic planning, and trend practices trough Barry’s mission. A university founded on three core responsibilities of: learn, reflect, and serve—Carlton garnered the need of community service. After participating in Barry University’s Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), he used his niche in Finance to serve the community before him by developing a Financial Literacy initiative. From his initiative to bring financial literacy to underrepresented communities, Carlton was able to garner the support of various educational and financial entities.

Joining the Young Professional Board of HOPE Atlanta provided Carlton with the platform to bring his passion to the needs of the city of Atlanta.


Michael is the Director of Aprio’s Retirement Plan Services group which partners with clients to create successful retirement programs through guidance in the creation, execution and monitoring of policies and procedures that help mitigate fiduciary risk and accomplish corporate goals.

Michael has earned the C(k)P® designation from The Retirement Advisor University in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education and the CPFA® credential from the National Association of Plan Advisors.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys any activity outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Additionally, Michael is a Board Member of the Sandy Spring Conservancy.


Clark Seydel is the Vice President of Transaction Sciences at Transwestern here in Atlanta. In his role, Seydel is working alongside the RBH group who is developing affordable housing specifically for teaching professionals. In addition, Seydel works with businesses to provide optimal office solutions for their specific needs.

Seydel is eager to become an expert in both affordable housing and homelessness over the next 5 years. Seydel sits on the board of the Soloman’s Temple which serves as a shelter and workforce development program specifically for women. In the area of homelessness, Seydel is also active with the men’s organization Georgia Works at the Gateway Center as well as Covenant House, where their effort supports youth empowerment through proving shelter, education and personal growth. Seydel both fundraises and works hands on to help these centers achieve their goals.

Seydel is a fan of all Atlanta sports teams but has a soft spot for the Atlanta Hawks. He is an avid runner, explorer and thrill seeker.


Stefanie Small is a public relations professional with nearly 10 years of experience in the industry. Her passion lies in communicating relevant stories to the world. She started her career at Think B Squared Marketing Group, a marketing consulting firm, as marketing manager for the agency. In this role, she was responsible for assisting in developing and executing plans and initiatives to support the business objectives of the company. Stefanie also served as Public Relations Manager with FSquared Communications Group, a full-service public relations agency focused on brand development, media and community relations, crisis communications and special event management. As the administrative lead, she assisted in managing every detail of the client’s brand development, projects and events to ensure that they were consistent with the mission and vision of the organization. She was also instrumental in assisting the agency in being selected as the only African-American public relations agency to roll out the Affordable Care Act campaign and launch the healthcare marketplace in the state of Georgia.

Currently Stefanie serves as the Community Engagement Manager at Future Foundation an organization whose mission is to level the playing field for Metro Atlanta youth through their second family model. She provides direction on recruiting and retaining students for the organization’s programs, serving on community boards as an advocate for parent and student concerns and providing strategic direction and outcomes key for maintaining several multimillion dollar federally funded grants secured by the organization.

Stefanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management and Organizational Psychology from American Intercontinental University. She is a member of the National Black MBA Association (Atlanta Chapter), the Black Public Relations Society (Atlanta Chapter) and a 2018 graduate of the United Way VIP Program.

Stefanie is a professional vocalist and enjoys running, traveling and eating great food in her spare time.


Sterling Swanson joined Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty from Palm Beach, Florida, where she attained experience as a REALTOR®. Her thorough knowledge of the market and specific insights into Metro Atlanta, specifically Buckhead and Midtown, enables her to well-serve her clients’ needs.

Sterling hails from a Buckhead family with deep roots in Atlanta that span four generations. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi (“Ole Miss”) with degrees in Public Relations and Broadcast Journalism. Thanks to her family’s involvement in real estate investment and development throughout the country, including San Francisco, New York and Atlanta, she has been immersed in the real estate industry from a young age and has a true passion for all aspects of the real estate and marketing business. Sterling utilizes her creativity and background to create custom marketing plans and buyer options that help close transactions in the shortest amount of time for the highest realized price.

Sterling serves on several community and philanthropic boards. She is currently a Chair member of Atlanta Charity Clays. She also serves on the committee for the Women’s Giving Circle for the Shepherd Center of Atlanta, Woodruff Arts Center, and is a member of the Annie Oakley Shooters Club.
